In the workshop you can gain an in-depth understanding of an area of STEM that interests you. Full details of the projects will be listed in this section but allow four hours as you will need to complete independent research, compile the project and present it. How you present it will be down to you, be as creative and innovative as you can! You’ll receive feedback on the project by one of the team. You can complete as many workshops and projects as you like but you must complete and submit one.
It can take us up to 3 working days to assess your project work, although we always try to get it assessed as quickly as possible. Please make sure to submit before the project deadline to ensure we can mark your work before the course closes.

By the time you reach the Evaluation section you will have studied all of the required content on the course. This final section is a piece of feedback and reflection on what you have learnt, and on submission you will get your certificate to download. This section includes a downloadable personal action plan where you can complete your own personal route into STEM and the actions needed. This section will take you around two hours so please leave yourself enough time to complete it before the course close date otherwise you will not be able to get your certificate.
This could be due to two reasons:
Your project needs to be assessed before you can progress further with the next module.
You haven’t completed all the mandatory sections, make sure you check to see any that haven’t been ticked off
You would have to apply and pay for another course to be able to take part again. Your progress would not be carried over and so you would have to study all of the course content again from the beginning. We strongly recommend that you try and complete the course on your first attempt.
In the introduction section of the course, you will watch a video which will explain in detail how the course works and answer many of the questions you may have. During the course you can use the messaging facility on the course platform to contact a tutor. If you have any questions or issues that arise during the course, you can also always contact our student support team studentrecruitment@etrust.org.uk and we’ll be happy to answer any of your questions. Please bear in mind that our support team only work Mon-Fri 9am-4pm so outside of these times you will have to wait for a response.
