Bright futures for young people through Industrial Cadets pathways.

At EDT we believe every young person should have the chance to embrace STEM opportunities. In collaboration with industry and educational partners we have developed the Industrial Cadets pathway of programmes to help students access STEM learning and experience the world of work.

Headline Funder

The RAF Charitable Trust is Headline Funder of Industrial Cadets and EDT delivered Key Stage 3 Experience Days.


Inspired by its Patron, His Majesty, King Charles III in Teesside, Industrial Cadets is a widely recognised, accredited awards scheme increasing diversity and inspiring young people through industry-based experiences to become part of the workforce of the future.

We invite industry to use the Industrial Cadets accreditation as a quality benchmark for outreach and education programmes and to build pathways for students through education to employment.

Our Vision

Our ambition is to see Industrial Cadets in every school, as we celebrate 250,000 Industrial Cadets Experiences in 2024 we aim to inspire 1 million young people to embrace jobs in industry by 2035.
