Theory of Change in a nutshell:

At EDT and Industrial Cadets, we are dedicated to ensuring that all young people have access to enriching STEM experiences, inspiring role models, and comprehensive career pathways. We believe that talent and interest in STEM are spread equally across society, and we are committed to creating pathways that allow every young person to thrive in STEM studies and careers.

However, we recognize that opportunity is not equally accessible. Factors such as socio-economic background, gender, where they grow up, and ethnicity all influence how likely young people are to choose STEM studies and thrive in STEM careers. This is holding young people back and depriving our society of the diverse voices and skilled future leaders we need to tackle urgent challenges like climate change.

Refusing to accept this status quo, we work collaboratively with donors, funders, industry partners, and STEM professionals to breakdown these barriers and create equal opportunities. Our Theory of Change serves as a roadmap, linking our programmes and interventions to measurable outcomes and impacts, ensuring that we can effectively monitor and evaluate our success as we strive to empower the next generation of STEM leaders.
