The world around us is driven by STEM innovation

From the smartphones in our pockets to advances in medicine and solutions to the challenges of climate change, STEM underpins almost every aspect of our lives. A strong foundation in STEM subjects opens doors to a wide range of rewarding careers. It also fosters critical thinking skills, collaboration, and the ability to solve complex problems – skills all young people need to thrive in our fast-changing world.

In recent years a STEM skills gap has begun to emerge, costing the UK economy £1.5bn per year. This figure is set to increase as the sector rapidly evolves, meanwhile young people across the UK are left without the skills needed for future success in the world of work.
