Juhie Radia Appointed Alumni Ambassador ahead of International Women’s Day

Juhie Radia, Senior Data Analyst at Ralph Lauren, has been appointed as the first ever Alumni King’s Ambassador for Industrial Cadets.
The exciting announcement takes place in the run up to International Women’s Day (8thMarch), an initiative which aims to recognise and celebrate women. This year the campaign’s theme is Accelerate Action to collectively forge a more inclusive world for women.
Juhie, whose family migrated to the UK, was the first in her family to complete education and pursue a corporate career. Being unfamiliar with the application process and without a network around her to provide the specific insight and experience required, Juhie was left feeling unprepared for the world of work and struggling to progress with applications. During this time, EDT and Industrial Cadets played a huge role in teaching her work-readiness skills, helping to guide her through the application process and supporting her to land her first job role.
Juhie took part in an Industrial Cadets Year in Industry Placement in 2021 and went on to win the Industrial Cadets Platinum Leader Award. Since then, she has secured a job as a Senior Data Analyst at Ralph Lauren and was selected to represent the UK as the Environmental Sustainability and Climate youth delegate at the G7 in 2024.
Inspired by its Patron, His Majesty, King Charles III, Industrial Cadets is a widely recognised, accredited awards scheme increasing diversity and inspiring young people through industry-based STEM experiences to become part of the workforce of the future.
The role of King's Ambassadors for Industrial Cadets is to represent and promote the great work that Industrial Cadets does, sharing the benefits of the programme to help make a profound difference in the lives of young people.
Juhie Radia, Senior Data Analyst at Ralph Lauren said, “I first started giving back to EDT by mentoring students working on their Industrial Cadet Bronze projects and representing EDT on a panel at Anthropy, speaking about inspiring the next generation of Industrial Cadets. By speaking with other young people, I realised others had also experienced similar challenges when applying for jobs and lacked career readiness. This inspired me to do more advocacy work to support young people with their transition in to the workforce, especially those from minority backgrounds like myself.
"The King's Ambassador role is important to me because I now have the opportunity to champion the Industrial Cadets programme and EDT, bringing it to other young people and supporting them with the first steps in their career journey. This position gives me the chance to give back to a charity and programme that played a big part at the start of my career and opened me up to other opportunities.
“As a King's Ambassador I aspire to curate more spaces and mechanisms for young people and industry professionals to connect, fostering more knowledge sharing and intergenerational discussions to help young people feel more empowered and career ready, so every young person can confidently work towards their ambitions.”
Julie Feest, CEO at EDT and Industrial Cadets added, “We’re delighted to welcome Juhie to our network of King’s Ambassadors. I’ve seen her develop and go from strength to strength in her career and achieve many incredible accomplishments along the way. She is testament to the impact of Industrial Cadets on young people’s lives and with her alumni experience, she is in a unique position to promote the scheme.
“We are committed to supporting young women to feel empowered through skills development and hands on experience, fulfil their potential and access jobs across the STEM industries to ensure a more inclusive world for women now and in the future.”
