Connecting young people, educators, partners and employers across the UK

EDT are a nationwide educational charity set up over 35 years ago engaging young people through STE(A)M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) focused experience days, projects and placements. We help young people develop the STEM skills, knowledge and experience they need to take control of their futures and change the world around them.

Our Industrial Cadets accredited programmes and awards provide opportunities through education to employment, aiming to give students aged 9-21 across the UK access to an Industrial Cadets programme, which provides them with the opportunity to develop critical skills for a career in STEM.

EDT and Industrial Cadets become Friends of The Queen’s Green Canopy

We are pleased to announce our Friendship agreement with The Queen’s Green Canopy. The relationship will engage young people and ignite their natural interest in their local environment. As part of Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, students will be inspired through Industrial Cadets to plant trees across the UK.

OUR TRANSFORMATION

Throughout the past six months, we have been working closely with our stakeholders to offer new ways of engaging and learning. By adapting our existing programmes, as well as creating new virtual experiences for young people, we continue to work towards fulfilling our vision of providing access and opportunities for all young people.

CAN YOU HELP US RAISE FUNDS?

Opportunities for young people are out there: the problem is that many don’t have the support to access them. Our vision is to ensure young people develop the skills, experience and connections they need to enter the workplace and build the bright futures they deserve. Without the fantastic contributions of fundraisers, we would not be able to continue our essential work.

"Even though it was different to what was initially instore, I feel you have adapted incredibly well to the changes.  I have still been able to complete the course to gain information to support me and my future choices"
